DC Super-Heroes Token Pusher

This is called a Token Pusher; I had to look it up because I was calling it the 'Justice League Arcade Thingie' since I first found it at the Carnival Magic Cruise Ship back in 2018. I have no idea how it works or how the game is played, but I do know that when you win, it dispenses trading cards, of which there are two different sets: eight Super-Hero cards, and eight Super-Villain cards. The machine itself has four faces, each one themed with a different hero-villain pair: Superman and Luthor, Wonder Woman and Cheetah, Flash and Captain Cold, and Batman and Joker. Can you imagine having one of these pretty things in your living room? Oh-Em-Gee.

DC Direct Red Lantern

I bought this set back in Halloween 2011 during the grand opening of my local comic book shop. It is a 1:4 scale replica of the Red Lantern Power Battery, part of the DC Direct 'Blackest Night' collection. The base of the battery is an actual switch that is twisted to turn the red light on/off. It sits on a translucent acrylic display, which also has a slot for the ring.

In the back of the display there is a hidden, removable key that can be used to turn the red light in the ring on/off, since the switch is on the inside of the ring and it is difficult to reach. I do not remember how much I paid for it, but I know it was less than $20. The little lantern to the left of the photo is not part of the set. I added it for balance, and it actually comes with the Red Lantern Mera and Atrocitus action figures.

Aquaman Super Powers VHS

Dust your VCRs people, here comes a story. I was about 9 years old when I first saw this tape of Aquaman in a video rental store. We did not have a VCR at home, so I would just walk by the store and look at the display box of the 'Aquaman Movie' almost every day, thinking of the day when I would be a 'millionaire' so I could have my own copy of the tape.

Put away your VCRs and dust your CD-ROMs because we are jumping to 2001 when I was already grown up, had a job, and e-Commerce was in diapers. By then, this Aquaman tape was already a vintage product, so imagine my surprise when I came across it in some random, obscure website, along with a somewhat recent Aquaman CD-ROM Comic Book. With all my faith put on the honesty of the seller, I ordered them for like $12, and guess what? I got them! To this day, this VHS tape is one of my most beloved possessions.

Imaginext Jayna And Zan

One day, roaming around the isles of the toy section at Walmart, looking for action figures, my eye caught a bright box in a dark, hidden, bottom, secluded corner of a shelf. It was one of those 'DC Super Friends' blind boxes by Fisher Price. I had not paid attention to this Imaginext collection, so I was not keeping up with the figures being released, but when I knelt to take a look, a tear almost ran down my cheek. Series 6 of this set included Zan and Jayna!

It was easy feeling the bucket and the eagle accessories through the packaging, to know I was getting the figures I wanted; I do like Doctor Fate, Signal, and Catman, but with my luck, I would have gotten two Lex Luthors. I do love my Wonder Twins set, though. Those are the only Zan and Jayna toys I have, since any others that exist are extremely hard to find, and super expensive!

Aquaman Mopeez Plush

I got not one, not two, but three of these cute Aquaman plushies as gifts from my coworkers, who knew how much I love the King of the Seas. To celebrate  his cameo in 2016's 'Batman v Superman,' Funko! produced this toy version of Jason Momoa's Aquaman, that was marketed as expressing 'adorable frustration?' Anyway... in 2019 I decided to document my travels in company of Aquaman, so this picture was taken at the George Town cruise port in the Cayman Islands, since it seemed like the perfect setting for his Royal Highness.

Batman Tin Bucket

A retro-themed Batman bucket by the Tin Box Company through the 'Way To Celebrate' brand. I found this one at Walmart, right after Easter 2020, and since we did not have Easter day in 2020 because... you know, there were lots of merch at a huge discount. On one side, the bucket features artwork by José Luis García-López, and on the other side, artwork by Sheldon Moldoff from Batman #144 (1961), including Batwoman, Robin, and Bat-Girl!
